Foundation
My academic journey began in Tunisia at a young age before continuing my studies in France. During my PhD years, I faced major challenges balancing research, motherhood, and family responsibilities. At one point, I had to pause my studies for a year after the birth of my daughter before finding the strength to continue pursuing my dream.
I experienced many rejections, both in academic publishing and professional opportunities. After completing my PhD in 2016, I went through a difficult period during Tunisia’s economic crisis, which deeply affected me emotionally and made the future feel uncertain at times.
But deep inside, I always believed that perseverance is the true foundation of every success.

Global Shift
Before moving to China, I spent a few months in Budapest focusing on personal and professional development. It became an important phase where I strengthened my skills, gained a deeper understanding of the international job market, and improved my communication and interview abilities. Instead of giving up, I chose to prepare myself for the opportunities I hoped to reach one day.
In 2020, I moved to China for my first full-time position at an American university. That experience became a turning point in both my professional and personal journey. From there, a new chapter of international exposure, achievements, and growth began, eventually leading me to South Korea, where I live today.
These experiences taught me the true meaning of adaptability, international transition, and building opportunities across different cultures and environments.

قبل الانتقال إلى الصين، قضيت بضع أشهر في بودابست ركزت خلالها على التطوير الشخصي والمهني. كانت هذه المرحلة حاسمة، حيث عززت مهاراتي واكتسب ت فهماً أعمق لسوق العمل الدولي، وطورت قدراتي في التواصل و مقابلات العمل. بدلاً من الاستسلام، اخترت إعداد نفسي للفرص التي كنت آمل الوصول إليها يوماً ما
في عام 2020، انتقلت إلى الصين لشغل أول منصب بدوام كامل في جامعة أمريكية، وكانت تلك التجربة نقطة تحول في مساري المهني والشخصي. ومن هناك، بدأت فصول جديدة من الانفتاح الدولي والإنجازات والنمو، مما قادني في النهاية إلى كوريا الجنوبية، حيث أعيش اليوم
علمتني هذه التجارب المعنى الحقيقي للمرونة، والانتقال الدولي، وبناء الفرص عبر مختلف الثقافات والبيئات
Empowerment
Through all these experiences, I learned that success is not only about degrees or qualifications, but also about resilience, adaptability, patience, and rebuilding confidence through change. I also came to understand the real challenges behind relocation, family transitions, children’s adaptation, and starting over in unfamiliar environments.
This is why I created Imen Global Pathways.
Because I understand how overwhelming uncertainty can feel when someone is trying to build a better future for themselves or their family. I believe people need more than advice, they need genuine guidance, support, and someone who truly understands the journey.
Today, my mission is to help professionals, students and families move toward better opportunities with greater confidence, stronger preparation, and a clearer sense of direction.
Because sometimes, one opportunity, with the right guidance, can change an entire life.
البداية والتأسيس
انطلقت رحلتي الأكاديمية من تونس في سن مبكرة، لتستمر لاحقاً في فرنسا. خلال سنوات الدكتوراه، واجهت تحديات كبيرة في الموازنة بين البحث العلمي، والأمومة، والالتزامات العائلية. في مرحلة ما، اضطررت للتوقف عن الدراسة لمدة عام كامل بعد ولادة ابنتي، قبل أن أستجمع قوتي لمواصلة السعي وراء حلمي
واجهت العديد من العقبات والرفض، سواء في النشر الأكاديمي أو الفرص المهنية. بعد إتمام الدكتوراه في عام 2016، مررت بفترة صعبة تزامنت مع الأزمة الاقتصادية في تونس، مما أثر عليّ عاطفياً وجعل المستقبل يبدو غير مستقر أحياناً
لكن في أعماق قلبي، كنت أؤمن دائماً أن الصبر والمثابرة هما الأساس الحقيقي لكل نجاح
